Az örmény David Yengibarian 1995-től Magyarországon folytatta zenei tanulmányait, ahol idővel az egyik legkeresettebb jazz- és világzenei előadóvá és zeneszerzővé vált. Hét saját lemezt jelentetett meg, illetve számos színházi és filmzenét is komponált. Népzenei ihletésű egyedi zenei világának fő inspirációs forrása az örmény zenei hagyomány, az európai és amerikai jazz és improvizatív zene, az argentin tangó, valamint az azt megújító Astor Piazzolla zenéje. Yengibarian trióját az improvizatív, szuggesztív, érzelemdús előadásmód jellemzi.
Az utóbbi években több kiemelkedő hazai és külföldi vendéggel léptek színpadra, mint például Lukács Miklós, Tony Lakatos, Gevorg Dabaghyan. 2023 nyarán Norah Jones előtt adtak sikeres koncertet a Veszprémfest keretein belül. A repertoár gerincét saját kompozíciók teszik ki, de az este során felcsendülhetnek balkáni vagy latin dalok is.

Armenian David Yengibarian continued his musical studies in Hungary from 1995, where he eventually became one of the most sought-after jazz and world music performers and composers. He has released seven albums of his own and composed numerous theater and film scores. The main sources of inspiration for his unique musical world, inspired by folk music, are Armenian musical traditions, European and American jazz and improvisational music, Argentine tango, and the music of Astor Piazzolla, who revitalized it. Yengibarian’s trio is characterized by an improvisational, evocative, and emotional performance style.
In recent years, they have performed with several prominent Hungarian and foreign guests, such as Miklós Lukács, Tony Lakatos, and Gevorg Dabaghyan. In the summer of 2023, they gave a successful concert before Norah Jones as part of the Veszprémfest festival. The backbone of their repertoire consists of their own compositions, but Balkan or Latin songs may also be heard during the evening.
