ABOUT THE SHOW
Starting in October, every other Tuesday belongs to the blues at Vörös Neon.
When it comes to Hungarian blues, Fekete Jenő is a name you simply cannot avoid. The eMeRTon Award-winning guitarist and singer has been one of the defining figures of the country’s blues scene for more than three decades. His passionate guitar playing, distinctive voice and deeply authentic performances evoke the worlds of Delta and Chicago blues, while always speaking in a voice unmistakably his own.
Joining him is Horváth Misi, one of the outstanding harmonica players in Hungarian blues. His playing is full of feeling, instinctive musicality and remarkable expressive power. In his hands, the harmonica is not merely an accompanying instrument: it is a way of telling a story.
Fekete Jenő and Horváth Misi have been making music together for more than twenty years. Their shared sound is instinctive, honest and compelling — the kind of blues conversation that does not need translating.
